My name is Kassandra and I have been in childcare for at least 6 years. I started as young as 16 years old, volunteering in a summer camp program with children and as I got older I realized working with children was truly a passion of mine. I worked at a school for about 4 years as a pre-k 4 teachers aide and the teacher I worked with was big on teaching children about emotions and how to regulate themselves and I absolutely loved it. Not only were they able to excel in their learning but also being able to see how they grew emotionally was fascinating. I no longer work at the school, I’m currently taking babysitting on as a full time job, but everything this teacher taught me truly stuck with me and I use what I learned with every child I meet. I truly believe emotional maturity can start at a very early age and I love knowing what I teach a child will shape the adult they become.
