More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at a church in Colombia from 2019 to 2022, where I was responsible for leading groups of children of different ages, usually between 2 and 9 years old. I organized and guided a variety of creative activities, especially those involving music, singing, and movement. These activities helped the children express themselves, develop their coordination, and enjoy a safe, joyful space to grow and connect with others. This experience strengthened my love for working with children and inspired me to pursue a professional path in childcare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Throughout my experience as a nanny, au pair, and volunteer, I have enjoyed engaging children in a wide range of fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities. These include music and movement games, singing, dancing, storytelling, and arts and crafts to stimulate creativity. I often plan outdoor play, visits to parks, libraries, and museums, as well as sensory activities for infants like tummy time and visual stimulation. To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel valued, secure, and free to be themselves. A nanny is not just a caregiver, but also a role model, a guide, and a consistent presence in a child’s daily life. It’s about building trust—with both the child and the parents—and being someone the family can rely on. I believe that nurturing a child's emotional well-being, encouraging their curiosity, and supporting their growth at every stage is at the heart of this role. It’s a big responsibility, but also a beautiful opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life.

My experience with special needs children...

Although I don’t have direct experience working with children with special needs, I’m fully open and willing to learn whatever is necessary to provide the best care and support. I understand that every child is unique, and I’m committed to being patient, understanding, and flexible. I’m eager to receive guidance, training, or feedback from parents and professionals so I can grow and be a positive, helpful presence in the child’s life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part of being a nanny is watching children grow and change through each stage of their development. Being there for their first steps, first words, and all the little milestones in between is truly special to me. It allows me to build a strong bond with them and become a meaningful part of their lives. Supporting them as they learn, explore, and gain confidence is what makes this job so rewarding.
