I am a child at heart. I shamelessly and with my full heart will scream disney songs, binge watch Bluey while eating dinosaur nuggets, make friendship bracelets, and read the same Baby-Sitters Club book a million times. I feel as if nurturing this and allowing that side to be expressed connects with children of all ages in ways that makes them feel accepted and included, and makes them feel safe and cared for. I also value self expression and standing out. I am lovingly referred to in my toddler class (ages 2.5-3 years) as “Miss Katen” and cannot get enough of coloring, reading stories, playing “Dinosaurs” outside, and so much more that happens daily in my classroom. I also have many hobbies including photography, music, reading, writing, and working as a volunteer with several organizations. I am also a published author. I feel that with my passion, values, and friendly demeanor, I can be an amazing nanny for your family.
