A little bit about me

Hello families!

My name is Katelynn, I’m a Fort Worth based nanny with experience caring for infants, toddlers, and multiple children at once, including twins. I’m comfortable managing routines, feeding schedules, naps, and keeping kids engaged throughout the day.

I’m CPR and First Aid certified and also have my Patient Care Tech certification, which has given me a strong background in safety, care, and staying calm in different situations.

I’m very patient, reliable, and hands-on, and I always focus on creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for the kids I care for. I’m also good at adjusting to each child’s needs and making sure parents feel comfortable and supported.

More About Me

I have a nanny, babysitter, and occasional sitter!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in activities that are both fun and educational. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts projects, reading stories together, exploring nature on walks, and playing imaginative games that help spark creativity. I also enjoy organizing outdoor play, such as trips to the park or simple backyard adventures, to help children stay active and develop their motor skills. I believe that hands-on activities like baking simple recipes, building with blocks, and doing science experiments are great ways to teach important skills while having fun. Whether it's a quiet afternoon of puzzles and books or an energetic day filled with outdoor games, I always strive to create experiences that match each child's interests and needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported. Safety is always my top priority — whether it’s closely supervising play, making sure the home environment is childproofed, or teaching children about making safe choices. I also believe that clear and open communication is essential, both with the children and with their parents. I make it a point to keep parents updated throughout the day, sharing important details about their child’s activities, moods, milestones, and any concerns that may arise. Building a relationship based on trust and openness helps ensure that everyone — the children, the parents, and the nanny — feels confident and connected.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with a 13-year-old boy with nonverbal autism, and that experience taught me a lot. I got really good at picking up on his cues and understanding what he needed without him having to say anything. It definitely made me more patient and aware of how every child communicates differently.

We stuck to routines, worked through different moods together, and found ways to keep him comfortable and engaged based on what he liked. I also helped with day-to-day things and just made sure he felt safe and understood.

That experience really changed how I approach childcare. I’m a lot more attentive, flexible, and focused on meeting kids where they’re at.

Carolyn M. - Seeking Work in Fort Worth

Babysitter Available in Fort Worth, TX: Carolyn M.

I’m a mom of two grown children and an experienced childcare and education professional who genuinely loves working with children. I have spent many years caring for, teaching, and nurturing children of all ages.

My experience includes serving as a church nursery director, teaching preschool, and teaching kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of children’s developmental, emotional, and educational needs.

As a mother and longtime educator, I’m patient, dependable, energetic, and attentive. I love keeping children engaged through play, activities, reading, creativity, and exploring the world around them. I also understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable and confident in the person caring for their children.

I am excited to get to know your family and provide your children with the same care and attention I would want for my own.
