Hi, my name is Katharina. I'm 30 years old and just moved from Switzerland to Los Angeles in August 2018. I moved here to be with my husband, who works at UCLA.
My native language is German, i'm happy to talk to your children in german if you'd like that, additionally to english.
I worked with children for over 12 years back home. I got so much experience trough that and a lot of great memories.
I have my own car. So I can pick up and drop off your kids at anytime, for play dates, school or other activities.
If you have any pets at home, i'm looking forward to take care of them too.
I have a CPR and First Aid license. I took these classes in Switzerland two years ago.
I'm a responsible, organized and caring person. I would like to be a part of your family.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I did volunteer work for 16 years in Switzerland once a week. We had camps twice a year. When I was younger i did some babysitting on the side. Since my Godson was born, I love to spent as much time with him as I could. It was great to see him grow up and learn new things. Or even once or twice teach him something myself. I started working at a german Preschool in November 2018.
At my last job in Switzerland I gave classes to 16 - 20 year old students, which I really enjoyed. Something quite different to younger children, but still very interesting to see how they approach new things.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to run around with the kids on the playground or in the garden. Playing hide and seek, soccer or building something in the sandbox.
Drawing, reading, crafting or even cooking together are great activities for inside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Love and understanding is an important part of being a nanny. They also need structure, patience and guiding to grow in their mindset to make new experiences. I want to help them, to be proud of themselves, when they accomplish something.
