Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Park little Shepherd preschool as a classroom helper/party planner/field trip advisor and more. I also worked for children's hospital about 2 years and environmental services, even in that department you still have to help care for kids and keep things clean and sanitized for them as well. I've babysat for numerous families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Parks are always fun, coloring, imaginary games made up by the "crewbies". Learning to read or share books together. Learning in fun ways, picking out snacks or helping in kitchen ( stir, measure, anyway to include the crewbies ...board games, cards, outside play!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Having patience and an open mind, imagination and time management. Learning is an ongoing process. You must be willing to bend and create or recreate and you must be able to have different tactics in order to get the best outcome for the littles without creating any animosity or temper tantrums between parents and children.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have much experience with the special needs children but I do know they deserve just as much love as anybody else and I'm willing to apply myself to meet whatever needs they have and have the patience to do so
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love it when I run into kids that I've watched in the past or helped raise or have seen on my house every summer for years and years ,come up to me as grown ups or with kids of their own and tell me how much I made an impact on their lives if it wasn't for putting them over to my house and treating them like family and taking my time with them showing them love and and treating them like my own kids, teaching them boundaries feeding them etc, they wouldn't know where they'd be right now.. I've instilled good family morals and values into other children and I'm proud for that
