More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started babysitting at 14 years old. My first role as a babysitter was occasionally taking care of a 6month old girl & her lovely 2yr old brother. From there until I was 20, I watched a ton of kids anywhere from 6months old - 7yrs old.
When I was 16 I began working as a lifeguard at Sycamore Park in Carmel for their summer camp. In my last year I was assistant head guard, where I helped make schedules, plan activities for the camp kids & helped run our first aid drills & practice sequences (including general first aid, CPR, & proper AED use).
Following that summer I turned 20 & began my first role as a private nanny, where I watched a 4 year old & her 2 year old brother. Following my work with this family I worked at Danbury hospital as a PCT for 7 months before changing my career path. That’s when I began my current job and second private nannying job for a 6yr old boy and his 3yr old little sister, both now 8yrs old and 5yrs old.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I find my job as a nanny is not only to supervise the kids and make sure everyone and everything around is safe, fun, and educational. But to help and make sure that the parents are happy and getting the extra help they also need while at work. Whether that be children’s laundry, putting groceries away, helping to tidy up and make sure things are where they belong. I feel I should (and can be) as much help watching, playing and caring for your children as I can be to you in your home!
The most important part about being a nanny...
With many of the kids I have watched in the past, I am around for their formative and most creative years. I’ve had many experiences and opportunities to be there for big milestones, learning to walk, potty training, helping kids learn how to write their name, ride a bike. I was also a lifeguard for 5years and taught two of my younger children how to swim! One of my favorite memories as a nanny was watching the little girl I watch over come her fear to jump into the pool!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Mahopac, NY: Jersey O.
Hi, I'm Jersey. I'm 17 and a high school senior, I have experience with kids because of 8 little cousins whom I've babysat. Currently, they're 3-13 years old, so I'm the designated babysitter of the family. I have a lot of energy so generally, I don't get tired out easily. I'm looking to babysit from around 2-13 years old, I am available from 2:30 on weekdays, and on weekends I am fully free. I'm going to college next year and am studying psychology and social work. I want to work with teens and kids in the future.
