Hi! My name is Kathrine. I have several years of childcare experience as a nanny, a regular sitter, swim lessons instructor, in school programs and in childcare facilities. My experience also includes overnight stays, unusual hours, driving, playdates, appointments, sports games, outdoor activities (kayaking, hiking), family vacations, serious allergies/chronic illness, and more. I have worked with infants and children through the age of 12. I am comfortable with animals and minor household chores!

I am new to this area and currently a student at Sacramento State University. I've received an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and currently working toward a bachelor degree in Art Education. I love to learn, make art, take care of my plants, cook new recipes, spend time with friends, family and pets, camp, hike and spend lots of time outside!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I've been lucky enough to have done some really exciting activities with kids. In the past I've most enjoyed playing outside, visiting the park, building forts, baking/cooking and doing crafts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part about being a nanny is having clear and regular communication between the nanny and the parents. This ensures that everyone is on the same page so that I can do the best job I can. I have found that communication builds trust between myself and the parents, it also helps me to bond with the kids.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience working with children with special needs in childcare facilities. I've also cared for children with severe food allergies and chronic illness, which required medication multiple times daily. I've had great experiences! I am happy to share more upon request!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments as a nanny are either when everyone is being super silly and we're all laughing or tucking in at night and doing bedtime stories.
