Hi there!
The name is Kathy Serna but I go as Kat. I grew up in the Inland Empire and have 5 younger brothers that I have helped raise. Then I graduated high school and I moved to Fullerton to get my bachelor's degree in psych and a minor in child development. I also work (currently not because of Covid) at a daycare on campus at CSUF. I have been working there for 4 years so I am pretty experienced. I 100% love kids and have been surrounded by them my entire life and I want to continue working them. You will not be disappointment if you hire me, I am not just experienced but I am also educated in child care. I will be a pleasure working for you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Currently employed (but not working) at a daycare on the campus of CSUF, I have even there for 4 years and worked with the ages of newborn to 5 years old.
As well, I have worked in an after school program in Buena Park/Fullerton with the ages of 7 to 13 years old.
I use to volunteer at the local church for about 6 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing indoors but especially outdoors with children. I believe that hands on activities with kids is a great teaching method. For example water play in the summer, is one of my favorite activities we play at the daycare. As well, I love story with the children and reading them books.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that building relationships and connections and remaining consistent with children is super important.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have experience with special needs children but I am willing to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with one of my students was when I was teaching her the body parts and I told her that her fingers were actually pronounced fallangies and the whole week she came telling people that her fingers are fallangies.
