More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

With a wealth of hands-on experience, I bring a unique perspective to childcare. As a mother of three boys, I understand the joys and challenges of nurturing young minds. Additionally, I spent a year as a dedicated nanny to a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old, providing attentive care and fostering their growth, including after-school pickup and supervision. I also have experience caring for infants on a regular basis and occasionally babysitting another 8-year-old. Each role has enriched my understanding of child development and strengthened my ability to create a safe, engaging environment for children to thrive in.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in a variety of activities, from outdoor play to reading, arts and crafts, and even video games. My approach is flexible, as I believe in tailoring activities to match the interests and preferences of each child I care for. Whether it's exploring nature, diving into a good book, unleashing creativity through art projects, or bonding over video games, I'm enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences for children under my care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part about being a nanny is forming genuine relationships with the children under my care. Building trust and rapport lays the foundation for a nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. Additionally, being prepared to act in emergencies and perform under pressure is essential for ensuring the well-being of the children at all times. Effective communication, both with the children and their parents, is key to understanding their needs and providing the best possible care.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don't have direct experience caring for special needs children, I am eager to learn and adapt. I have a few adult friends on the autism spectrum, which has provided me with some insight into their unique perspectives and needs. I am committed to providing inclusive and supportive care to all children under my supervision, and I am open to training and guidance to better serve individuals with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is when I would build snack trays for the kids I cared for. It was rewarding to see each child's face light up as they discovered their favorite snacks laid out just for them. Another cherished memory is watching my own children interact and play with the kids I nannied. Seeing them form bonds and create lasting memories together was truly special and reinforced the sense of community and connection I strive to foster in my childcare practice.
