Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve babysat for my niece from the time she was born till now (she’s 5 currently). I also cared for 2 sweet babies, ages 4 and 2 for about a year. Another family I nannied for was with 3 sweet kids, ages newborn-5 years old. I was also a volunteer for a first grade classroom at Fipps elementary school in Riverdale.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing afts and crafts with the kids I babysit! Whether it’s holiday themed crafts, or a custom birthday card for a family member, I’ll do it all!! I also love taking kids outside to play and let their imagination run wild! Lastly, I truly enjoy including them in the baking and cooking I do during the day. From what I have observed, the little ones always want to help in the kitchen, and I love to encourage that!

My favorite moments when I’m babysitting, has to be the validation from the children. There isn’t much that makes me happier than when the children I work with tell me, “Katie, this is the best day ever!!” “This is so much fun”. Knowing that I have the privilege to make a positive impact on these kids lives is the best, most rewarding part of this job.
