Although activities naturally vary based on the age of the child, some of my favorite things to do with children of all ages include going for long walks, reading books together, making crafts, and singing songs. My absolute favorite nanny moment is getting a front-row seat to the exact moment a child connects with the world around them.
There is nothing quite like the pure joy and curiosity in their eyes when they discover something new—whether we're stopping to inspect a bug on the sidewalk and diving into a million 'why' questions, getting entirely lost in the magic of a great book, or having a spontaneous, chaotic living room dance party. Seeing that authentic spark of wonder and the pure happiness it brings them is exactly why I love what I do. It reminds me how beautiful the world is through their eyes, and it's incredibly rewarding to help nurture that curiosity.
