A little bit about me

My name is Katie, and I have a B. S. in Family Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child and Family Studies. I studied at The University of Tennessee at Martin where Early Childhood Education was my focus. I am passionate about working with young children, and I have five years experience in the field. I am comfortable working with multiple children at a time, and I love pets of all ages and sizes! I have two of my own. I also have a reliable vehicle with a spacious backseat. I believe working with children is a rewarding experience, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am CPR and First Aid certified, organized, adaptable, and flexible with most schedules. In addition, I have experience writing and implementing lesson plans according to state standards. Most of this experience was with three and 4-year-old children (preschool age).
