A little bit about me

Hi my name is Katie, I am a farmgirl, wife, and mother. For many years I was a teachers aide for my church's pre-k class, During this time I worked with kids who had Down syndrome, behavioral issues, physically challenged, ones who came from a bad home or situation, and ones just learning how to be away from mom. I also worked as a nanny for two young boys. There I was responsible for teaching preschool, Italian, taking them outside, and to and from school, preparing meals, and cleaning the house. I also worked as a Nursing assitant. While there I was trained in CPR, First aid, and AED. I took care of those with special needs, such as: Alzheimers, Dementia, limited mobility, hard of hearing, food allergies etc... I changed bedding, helped dress, go to the bathroom, bathe, and go to their appointments. I took and monitored vitals, I believe that the experience I've had in the educational, care, and medical field has been invaluable to me as a mom and a caregiver.
