Hi there! My childcare experience is pretty diverse, and I've loved every minute of it! One of my most cherished roles was nannying a fantastic little boy, James, from 2 months old until he was 18 months. That intimate, one-on-one care really taught me so much.
Later, I moved into coaching cheerleading and gymnastics for ages 4-18, which honed my skills in managing groups and fostering positive energy. I also ran an after-school program where I picked up kids (5-13) in a 15-passenger van, bringing them to the gym for snack time, active play, crafts, and a very occasional educational video. The most important part about being a nanny to me, is creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children feel truly supported and loved. It's about being a consistent, reliable presence, fostering their natural curiosity, and encouraging their unique development every single day. Ultimately, it's about building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents, ensuring peace of mind for the whole family and making their daily lives a little smoother and a lot more joyful.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children is limited, but I'm eager to learn and grow. During middle and high school, I participated in my church's Helping Hands program. I was matched with a young boy (age 6) and attended his Sunday school class to provide extra support and help his parents feel at ease during services. This experience taught me the importance of patience and individualized attention.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard for me to place one moment as my favorite nanny moment, but my favorite part of nannying was genuinely getting to support James through his daily journey of learning and growth. It's incredibly rewarding to be a consistent, encouraging presence as a child explores their world. From witnessing his persistence as he worked on a new skill to seeing his face light up with understanding, I cherished being able to facilitate his discoveries and cheer on his progress. Being there to reinforce the amazing development he was making, knowing how much joy that would bring his parents, was truly special.
