I have the pleasure of nannying for a family for the last 6 years. I also have been an after school teacher for the 4th grade where i had to create a lesson plan that was entertaining and educational! I have worked with special needs from the ages of 3-10 of all different types of severities and disabilities. I enjoy working with kids and creating a bond with the parents is just as amazing!!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy stem activities such as building boats, roller coasters, or parachutes! I also majorly enjoy art projects like painting rocks, coloring pages and making crafts for parents to keep forever❤️
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part of being a nanny would be communicating with parents. I pride myself on it and i have never had a complaint yet! Parents really enjoy when i communicate even about just the small things. They love getting random pictures of their kiddos smiling or letting them know when is the last meal etc. Parents are the most important part of a child's life and i am so lucky to have to be a part of it🥰
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked as a Paraprofessional for the last two years. I have experience mostly in children with Autism but i have worked with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD and OCD. I have learned about the patience, maturity, and strength it takes to work with these children but also how much fun it could be!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would be dancing in the living room to all the Encanto songs while we were waiting for the pizza to be delivered!
