A little bit about me

Hello! I’m Katy. I am a mom of a 21-month-old and a pup mom of 2. My husband and I recently moved to our family his hometown near Athens to raise our family. We lived in Phoenix for nearly a decade with a small section of that where we were in Los Angeles while I nannied for a family needing short-term help for their 8 and 12 year old.
I’ve been babysitting since I was 10 years old (neighborhood children, family friends, my sister and her friends, my mom’s coworker’s children, etc.). I also nannied for a family during a couple of summers breaks during college. I studied psychology at Ohio University.
After years as a Health Coach, I am now a stay at home mom. My hours are spent loving on our child, finding activities to enhance her development at each stage, making sourdough, and cleaning. I know it’s cliche, but this is the most joyful work I’ve ever had.
I lean towards gentle parenting, positive discipline, and some Montessori techniques as these have benefitted our family the most.
