Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at Aqua-Tots Swim School for about a year, teaching children ages 6 months to 12 years old. This experience allowed me to work with a wide range of ages and skill levels while helping children build confidence and safety in the water.
I then began working with Foothills Parks & Recreation's children's programs. I started as a youth soccer and basketball coach and referee before transitioning to the before- and after-school care program and school break camps. I currently serve as a Program Leader for a summer camp, working with children ages 5–11.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe that children are our future, so I think it's incredibly important to leave a positive, lasting impact on the kids I work with. My goal is for every child to feel more confident, capable, and independent (at an age-appropriate level) after spending time with me. I also believe it's important to encourage children to try new things, especially activities they may be hesitant or nervous about. Stepping outside of their comfort zone helps them build resilience, confidence, and a willingness to try new experiences.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have never actually been trained to work with special needs, I have a lot of experience through my work with autism and ADHD.
