I did volunteer work at a daycare in South Africa (Smart Start Kindergarten) in 2017, and I have been working as a teacher at a daycare in NYC (Crescent Seedlings) for the past 3 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in outdoor activities, no matter the weather! Reconnecting with nature is so important, and I enjoy creating fun, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity and a love for the outdoors. I also enjoy involving kids in snack preparation, turning it into an interactive learning experience where they can explore new skills, foster creativity, and have fun in the process!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me is the lessons we teach children through our actions. I believe in leading by example, as they are constantly learning and growing into their own unique selves. I strive to instill kindness, respect, and love for others, while also nurturing their connection with nature. Exploring the world around them is such a fundamental part of their development, especially at a young age, when every experience shapes their understanding and growth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had so many funny and heartwarming moments, especially as a daycare teacher there’s never a dull moment! One of my favorites was at the park when all the kids decided they wanted to braid my hair. We ended up making a “braid train,” and it was the sweetest, most fun experience! Seeing their excitement and creativity brought me so much joy💕
