I’m Kayla, I have a 2 year old daughter. I’ve been a stay at home mom for the past 2 1/2 years. I’ve been applying everywhere and it’s seemed impossible. Then I realize their are women who are also trying to work and find care for the children. -High functioning autistic
-Allergy to food, medicine, material (list of allergies (if any) to be written down for me if chosen.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

-Beach, swimming (if child knows how to swim and or life jackets required for all who don’t know how swim /& 10+ Year old life jacket unnecessary.- personal preference) with parent permission as well,
-Lake (parent permission, life jacket required same as above)
-Hiking, walking, park,
-Painting, creative activities of all sorts (child’s choice unless told by parent otherwise)
-Sensory activities (if child does not get overstimulated-typically applies to some children, not all)
-Sports (not my favorite but will participate)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ensuring/being able to prove that the family I am working for is at ease with leaving their child in my care & making sure the kids are comfortable with & around me.

My experience with special needs children...

In my experience as long as there is a “plan for care” provided when there is a special needs child that is going to be receiving care from a provider/nanny.

Plan out what you’re specific child does on a day to day basis & have provider/ nanny follow the routine with the child. (Patience, routine/schedules, have always been very helpful during transition for both nanny & child/children)
