Hi! My name is Kayla, I am a young woman has had much experience with kids! I’ve always been surrounded by my younger family members and it was always my job to take care of them. I always had such a good time with the kids. I aspire to be a teacher one day and make the world a brighter place for children. I may be young, but I am extremely responsible. I currently am working as a pharmacy technician and have basic knowledge in medication. Such as what to give children in case of an allergic reaction, how to treat wounds, as well as what to do in case of medical emergencies. Which *knock on wood* we hope never happens! I have so much respect for children now a days.. as silly as some people seem to think that is. They are more independent than ever. They know so much that we didn’t know as children. Especially everything going on with virtual learning? My goal is to take care of your kids and give them a safe environment. Someone who’s not only their nanny but a friend!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was living with a family who had an 8 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. I was home throughout the day most of the time and I would cook for them and help them with school work. I would take care of chores, meaning dishes, mopping, etc.. It was a lovely experience and it felt great helping the kids and the parents out.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love drawing and coloring! I love seeing what kids can create and what goes on in their minds. I enjoy reading with the children, playing games. As long as they’re having fun and they’re staying safe, I’ll gladly play along.

My experience with special needs children...

I have volunteered at P.S. 37 in Staten Island, New York during certain events. Like their Boy Scout day, they had their gym all set up and decorated for them to do fun activities.
