Hi! I have recently graduated with my bachelors in psychology, with a concentration on human development. I have been working with kiddos since I was 16 and absolutely love them. I have four years of experience working with infants to teens, and I’m very passionate about learning and fostering curiosity.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered with the children at the Ted K Center in Plattsburgh NY while getting my undergrad degree. The Ted K Center provides educational, social, and recreational services to youth who reside in the Plattsburgh Housing Authority Developments, which ensure safe, adequate, and affordable housing to those in need in Plattsburgh. During my term as president of my sorority Theta Phi Alpha, we started coordinating with the Ted K Center to bring in volunteers from my organization to spend time with the kids there, and set up fun events, like easter egg hunts and spelling bees.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love sewing, I learned as a child and have continued to love it into adulthood. I have done small projects such as making ties and alterations, to bigger projects like hand stitching my senior banquet dress, I love teaching sewing patterns to children and helping them learn to fix rips and tears on their own clothes. I love baking with the children in my care, it’s an amazing learning experience for them and we get to make some yummy desserts. I love painting as well, I find it is extremely relaxing, and a great way for children to creatively let their stress out.
