A little bit about me

My name is Kayla Jennings, I am 18 years old. I grew up around Iowa being the oldest of 9 children. My mother was very busy so my siblings looked to me as a mother’s role in their lives. I can cook many different meals and i am very good at teaching myself to make new meals so no preference on food would be a problem. I can clean a house like no other and maintain a very clean home for you, I can do laundry and many other house hold tasks. I am also pretty good with children, I honestly would enjoy nannying a child of any age range. Children have very intelligent minds and I enjoy getting to know them because often more then sum many children don’t feel heard. I will protect and respect your child while respecting whatever rules you would have in order. I am set to graduate this up coming fall, I look forward to progressing to college. I plan to attend Kirkwood for a degree in Real-estate but I am very excited to to get more in to the nanny business and a change but promising career!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I also help volunteer at the local AAU teams including the Diplomats helping the girls focus on there goals. I also try to keep them motivated just because for sum of these girls they are young but basketball is there whole life and I want to be there to support them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking children to the park and going on picnics and being outside plural. I love to be outside rather then sitting indoors. I have made tents for children I have babysat and we stayed outside for hours away from technology. Also I have my own games and bored games for the children if your goal is to keep your child off there devices of course!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The children are ultimately my first priority. When I am hired by any parent at that point I am the caregiver while you are not around or busy. I am responsible for a life and I take that fact very serious. I find that I rather talk to children more than adults or people my age anyways so being a nanny really is the ultimate job for me. Children are so important to me and there well being is always my top priority. I also understand the important of my job being a nanny, and the trust you as a parent has to put in me. So Im always trying to work as hard as I can giving you reasons to feel okay when your child is with me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not had any experience with special needs children sadly to say yet. I am a newer nanny but that does not mean I cannot learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would have to have been when I was a nanny for two children named Kj and Kolby. On the first day I was with them I could tell
I broke down there barriers and by the time it was time for me to leave we were friends. When I arrived there they were pretty quiet but not to long after did I could see they got comfortable around me. Kolby started to get sad and it made me sad when it was time for me to go because I had just met them hours earlier, and I felt myself getting emotional and even today they have been my favorite ones to sit for.
