Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a brother who is 6 years younger than me and another who is 8 years younger than me, both I have raised since I was young. I have the 15 year old fully now, I have since I turned 18. The 13 year old is with his dad but we coparent on weekends for years now! I am very educated on working with children, just no paid experience. I’ve had the boys since they were babies, potty trained, school work, anything and everything! I’m completely open to any classes on safety such as CPR. I’ve been changing diapers since I was 8 and pretty much anything a mother would do also! I love the outdoors but also can always find creative things to stay busy inside! I’ve cared for my siblings for years and I’m at the age where if I could make a living off of something I love to do being a nanny would be exactly that!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Painting, movies, board games, drawing, playing ball, tag, hide and seek, music. Anything enjoyable and safe and we always clean up after ourselves!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part about working with kids is the connection you make with such a little person. They trust you. They talk like you if you’re around enough and they laugh with you. They ask the most interesting questions! I don’t think people realize the actual effect you leave on kids. I think it’s beautiful that you can impact them for the best in such little time. I also love how honest kids are lol no one’s more trustworthy about a bad outfit!
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t personally have any experience I would say is serious but I understand the level of patience needed and how certain things can be different and I’m open to learning more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory spending time with my little ones was the time we played ball in the rain! We stood in a triangle and threw a football back and forth till it was pouring and we jumped in puddles and ran around in the rain and after we all got cleaned up we made popcorn and watched a movie!
