More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have two years of experience working as a Lead Teacher at Discovery Point, where I gained hands-on experience caring for and teaching young children, building relationships with families, and creating engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. I also have experience at McPhaul Child Development Center, a center that is a leader in child development, where I’ve continued to grow my understanding of children’s development, independence, communication, and individual needs. I’m also studying Human Development and Family Science, which has given me an even deeper understanding of how children learn and grow.
I want families to feel confident and comfortable knowing their children are in caring and capable hands. I have clean and clear background checks on file with McPhaul, as well as Certified Professional Solutions training in Transition Safety and Health and Orientation. I also hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love finding activities that make children excited to learn, explore, and have fun! Some of my favorite things to do with younger children are coloring, reading books, arts and crafts, going on nature walks, exploring the outdoors, and riding bikes. I also have experience planning and leading STEM-based activities, so I enjoy incorporating simple experiments, building, problem-solving, and hands-on learning into play.
With older children, I love getting more active and joining in on their interests, whether that’s playing soccer or tag, building with LEGOs, doing crafts, watching a movie together, or spending time outside. I believe the best activities are ones where I can get involved alongside the children rather than simply watching them play. My goal is for children to have fun while also building confidence, creativity, curiosity, and independence along the way!

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is earning a family’s trust and making sure their children feel safe, loved, and cared for. I believe being a great nanny means more than simply keeping children occupied. It means getting to know each child, understanding their individual needs and personality, being dependable, and creating a comfortable environment where they can learn and be themselves.
I also believe in open communication with parents. I want families to feel comfortable sharing their routines, expectations, and what works best for their children, while knowing that I will always treat their children with patience, kindness, and respect. My goal is to become someone a family can truly rely on and someone their children are excited to spend time with.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with a variety of special needs through my two years at Discovery Point, where I worked with children ages 3–12. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, understanding, and meeting each child where they are. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual, learning what helps them feel comfortable and successful, and adapting activities and routines to their needs.
I’m also currently pursuing my degree in Birth–Kindergarten Special Education, which has given me an even deeper understanding of child development, learning differences, and ways to support children with diverse needs. I’m passionate about creating an environment where every child feels included, respected, understood, and capable.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was taking one of my regular children to the splash pad. I didn’t have any water clothes on but the child in my care took her water gun and soaked me in water. We laughed so hard, I ended up getting in the splash pad with her and the look in her eyes was like christmas. Even though i was now soaked she was so happy.
