Hi! My name is Kayla and I am a 26 year old college student graduating in Child development. I was born and raised in Chicago and have been living in Rexburg, Idaho for the past two years. I spend most of my time staying active and taking on new hobbies. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered working with younger kids at schools from class work to outdoor activities. I also worked as an umpire part time in the summer for 4 years where I worked with kids from ages 6 to 15

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love encouraging kids to learn a new sport to help them keep active, indoor or outdoor. Also I love experimenting with Art and I think the best way a child can show their creativity and imagination is through arts and crafts!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny for the past few years has brought so much happiness into my life from seeing a child grow and develop into and amazing individual. The most important part of my job is making sure I put the child/ children as my first priority. I really focus on building a great relationship with my family and especially the child starting with getting to know them and their interest and making sure I am bringing comfort and safety into their life’s.

My experience with special needs children...

I was able to care for a 1 year old who was deaf which was challenging at first but I quickly learned small signs that helped me communicate with her, helping to create a great relationship between us two!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are many memories I have from nannying but my favorite moment was driving the kids to their basketball and volleyball games and having the chance to cheer them on. I think one of the biggest things for a child to have is a support system in their life so despite the fact that their parents aren’t there to support them, it’s my job to be their biggest supporter reminding them that they can’t always count on me to be there for them.
