Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Volunteer durning school hours in classrooms. My house has always been the house all the kids in the neighborhood come to play. Along with all the cousins and family members wanting to never leave. I was a nanny for four new born twins till they were 7 their sister that was 2 till she was 9 and eldest brother that was 4 till he was 11.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Being a part of their learning a growing experience. Pretending to have mud pie tea time. Having a steak out looking for the bad guy. Building a fort out of random objects. Dressing up for the “princess ball.” Pretending is one of my specialties because nothing is better than a child that could imagine their own happiness. Coloring, drawing, reading books, homework, teaching to cook. Pretty much teaching anything that would help grow a young persons mind and knowledge.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Most important thing is to make sure kids are healthy, living life smiling, and growing and learning. Having fun is a major part of a child’s life. While still showing boundaries. Being able to show them that you care about their mental and physical state is a huge role as a care taker. You have to have a good balance of fun and structure. Parenting is hard and you need a village to help you along the way.
