A little bit about me

Hey! My name is Kaylee. I am currently in online college at San Jacinto College. I am majoring in Child Phycology and plan to become a child life specialist. I have nannied all sorts of children, each of them having different needs. I have been nannying for about five years. All of the kids have ranged from 4 months old to 11 years old. I have experience with newborns as well such as breast milk, formula, age-appropriate sensory stimulation, tummy time, as well as nap time! I primarily watch newborns, toddlers and school age! I have experience with toddlers/preschool as well, I taught in a Montessori preschool which I loved. I prepared crafts, sensorial play, outside activities, and created/maintained a safe and positive environment for the children. I absolutely love what I do as a nanny and can't wait to meet you guys! As a nanny, my biggest passion is to make the children I am caring for feel safe, loved and nurtured, I also have experience with overnight care!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught in a Montessori preschool which I loved. I was the lead teacher for both the infant and toddler classes. I prepared crafts, sensorial play, outside activities, created/maintained a safe and positive environment for the children, logged each child's day regarding diapers, potty training, how they ate that day and lunch, As well as maintaining positive relations with each parent.

While in high school, I was in the TET (teacher education program). I worked with a classroom full of first graders, and I fell in love with working with children.

Depending on the age of the child, I have an individualized sheet of activities that I created for that certain age group.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I knew from a young age that I wanted to always work with children. The most important part about being a nanny is truly helping shape little minds into who they grow up to be. We are creating lifelong bonds.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for some children with ADHD and ADD. The parent and I did a lot of brainstorming together and found so many coping skills that truly helped the child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My absolute favorite nanny moment was when I was taking the boys I was watching at the time to get ice cream. We were on our way back when one of the boys screamed "spider!!". I immediately pulled the car over and started screaming with them ha-ha. We all jumped out of the car and ended up getting the spider. I still will watch those boys every now and then and we STILL laugh about it to this day!
