More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at the boys and girls club of salt lake while I was in the teen program there, through late middle school and midway through highschool. I assisted in a daycare setting for most of my time, helping set up activities lunches etc

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Age appropriate sensory bins, reading books aloud, making snacks, learn songs and exposure to foreign language as well as colors and sounds, take a walk outside or even play outside, riding bikes and I LOVE getting kiddos involved in everyday activities we adults do

The most important part about being a nanny...

Always taking into consideration that kids are always watching, they see everything you do and look up to you. Be conscious of the things you say and do not only because they’re watching but because they’re learning how to human from you.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in a highschool peer program where we assisted special needs teens and children in everyday activites throughout the school. Going to class, navigating hallways, helping transport equipment that students need to and from classes and homework help. Nowadays I am helping with the curated needs for children on the spectrum in their own home setting. I’ve worked with children and young adults that have FAS, CF, CP and autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time I spent a month trying to figure out what a 2 year old was saying. She kept repeating “burarardo”..? Eventually we figured out she meant “burrito”! It was a long standing joke for a while, she had since grown out of it and learned to say her words correctly but that was a doozy
