I think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure the child feels safe, loved, and cared for. It’s important to be patient, responsible, and dependable while also building a trusting relationship with the child. I also believe good communication with the parents is essential so everyone is on the same page about the child’s needs and routine.

One of the best things I loved when I was watching one kid I babysat for was when he was so excited to share what he did at school and what he had been working on. It brings me joy and shows me that they trust me to be able to share that with me.
