Hi!! I’m Kaylie, a college student at the University of Arizona studying Real Estate. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids and creating a fun, comfortable environment where they feel safe and supported. I’ve worked as a camp counselor and camp supervisor with the university's A Camp, working with children ages 4–14, and I also have experience babysitting younger children. I’m interested in nannying because I’d love to gain more experience in youth care while building meaningful relationships with the families I work with. I’m responsible, patient, creative, and dependable, but I also love being playful and making everyday activities fun! Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My relevant experience caring for children includes working as a camp counselor and camp supervisor at A Camp, where I worked with children ages 5–14. My responsibilities included supervising children throughout the day, leading games and activities, helping with arts and crafts, organizing group activities, assisting with meals and snacks, helping children follow daily routines, and making sure everyone felt safe, included, and supported. I also have experience babysitting younger children, including keeping them entertained, preparing snacks and meals, helping with bedtime routines, and making sure they were comfortable and cared for while their parents were away. As a camp supervisor, I also helped oversee counselors and ensure that activities and childcare ran smoothly.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing creative and hands-on activities with kids, especially painting, arts and crafts, baking, playing outside, going to the park, and playing games. I also enjoy reading with them, helping with homework, doing little projects together, and finding fun ways to keep them engaged and learning. I’m always happy to join in on whatever they’re interested in and make it a fun experience!

My experience with special needs children...

Through my experience at A Camp, I worked with children with a variety of needs and learned how to provide extra support when needed. Some children had special needs that required specific approaches to communication, behavior, and daily activities. I was taught how to recognize different behaviors, respond calmly and patiently, and follow individualized strategies to help each child feel safe, included, and comfortable. This experience taught me the importance of being understanding, flexible, and attentive to each child’s individual needs.
