A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kaylin and I am a student at the University of Washington in my third year working to get my bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Family Studies. Afterwards, I plan to apply to the Masters in Teaching program here to become a special education teacher. My whole life, I have loved working with kids. I started as a volunteer at the Ymca when I was 15 in a youth recreation center where kids can be dropped of and spend time playing games and doing crafts. When I turned 16, I began working there. I worked in the Rec room for two years. In addition, for the past two summers, I worked as a summer camp counselor full-time, and worked spring break camp for two years as well. Currently, I work as a part-time tutor at a local elementary school where I tutor kids after school. I also work with the schools reading specialist, where we work with kids who are needing extra help in reading. I can help with homework, and am First-Aid and CPR certified!
