I love to take kids on outings to fun places and on walks. Any chance to show them something new to spark their interest is valuable to me. I also enjoy teaching them educational things and seeing them grow and development. It's very satisfying seeing them put to use the things I've taught or have shown them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building trust. Not just with the parents, but with the children as well. It's such a precious thing to have a child's trust and when they know they can be comfortable and that they're safe with you. I aim for that will all children I care for. It means a lot to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with special needs through family, as well as experience as a special needs student aid in high school. I know it can require a lot of patience and I am willing to learn whatever is necessary to give your child the best care possible.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A favorite nanny moment of mine was when I nannied for a two year old girl and her baby brother and every morning when I would get there she would look for her shoes and say, "Outside" in the cutest voice because she knew that we would always go outside first thing in the morning. It's a cherished memory of mine because it's a routine that we had built and a good memory and experience she connected with me.
