A little bit about me

Hello families! I’m Kearra, 27 years old and an experienced early childhood educator and nanny. I’ve cared for children from 4 months to 15 years, with a passion for ages 6 months to 3 years. My journey began in high school and has led me to work with children with autism, ADHD, and various developmental needs. I’m currently in Montessori training, which has shaped my nurturing, respectful, and independence-focused approach. As Maria Montessori said, “The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn.” I support children through calm routines, exploration, and play. I’m also happy to help with light housekeeping, pet care, and love arts and outdoor adventures like nature walks and parks. I hope to create a safe, inspiring space where your child can thrive!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to nannying, I’ve worked in early childhood classrooms where I cared for multiple children at once, supporting their daily routines, emotional needs, and developmental goals.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love anything that sparks curiosity and creativity! I enjoy doing art projects, reading books together, and exploring nature—whether it’s a walk in the park, collecting leaves, or watching bugs crawl. I also enjoy sensory play, music and movement, and setting up simple Montessori-inspired activities that support independence and hands-on learning. I try to follow the child’s lead and make everyday moments meaningful and fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

is building a relationship rooted in trust, consistency, and love. Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported—and being that steady, calming presence in their daily lives is something I take to heart. It’s also about partnering with families to honor their values and create a nurturing environment where their child can grow confidently and joyfully.

My experience with special needs children...

With my experience in a classroom setting, I’ve been blessed to work with children all across the spectrum of development—from speech delays to autism and ADHD. In early childhood, we play a big role in early intervention, so it’s important to know what to look for. I’ve learned to recognize developmental milestones, observe closely, and make thoughtful recommendations when needed. It’s all about supporting each child’s unique journey while working closely with families to help them thrive!

The most important part about being a nanny...

is getting to celebrate milestones with the families—like witnessing a baby’s first steps or hearing a toddler finally say a word we’ve been practicing. Sharing those moments of joy, growth, and pride with parents is incredibly special. It reminds me that I’m not just caring for their child, but becoming a trusted part of their village. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.
