I was an English Teacher in the Dominican Republic as well as a part-time nanny for my students for two years. I teach English online mainly to children ages 5-16. I also worked as a PCA/Paraprofessional for kids with special needs as well as in a nursery school with many different age groups.

I love playing games and singing songs! I play ukulele and guitar and kids love when I bring them out during play time!
The most important part about being a nanny...
What is most important thing about being a nanny is not only ensuring the safety of each child, but to fulfill each of their own individual needs as people. Each child is different and special in their own way and deserve to be treated like they are. My job is not only to be their nanny, but to be their friend. A good, healthy and trusting relationships between the families and the child is something very important to me!
My experience with special needs children...
I've cared for students on the Autism spectrum as well as different intellectual and developmental disorders as a PCA. I helped with emotional and mental regulation and assisted with completion of schoolwork.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was after a class of studying different names of flowers, one of my students raised her hand and said, "if you were a flower, you'd be a sunflower! Warmed my heart!
