More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began baby sitting as a teenager, then in high school I worked in our local preschool. I’ve been an assistant teacher for 4 years with kindergartens and 3rd graders. I’ve also ran art camps with each grade through Kindergarten and 8th. I now work as an afterschool instructor with 3rd & 4th graders for a STEAM based program.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, walking, playing, and exploring the outdoors. Singing, cooking, and being creative. I like to help teach children tools to better navigate their feelings and emotions. My current jobs main focus is on Social Emotional Learning and empowering kids to connect with themselves and others.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have much 1on1 experience with special needs children. I have worked alongside children with special needs in classrooms. I am familiar with the uniqueness of each child and how their needs, abilities, and behaviors vary. I am patient and adaptable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments with children are during my art camps. I teach the art of tie dye to kids and the way their faces light up when they unwrap their creations is my all time favorite thing to experience.
