A sweet moment I had with one of my students is when we were working on changing initial sounds of words (such as cat to bat to mat to sat). He has been struggling with this concept for a few days and I switched the way in which I was delivering the instruction and a light switch on for him! The way his face beamed when he was finally able to make the connections between the words melted my heart. It reminded me why I am working towards my degree.
