My sister had a baby when I was 15 and she was still in the house so I was immediately helping care for my niece. My mom and sister would go work in the evening and I'd be home with her and my 8 year old sister. Then she moved out, I moved to my dad's, and my sister who lived with him had a baby. So it was the same thing all over again. So I tell both my nieces that they are my first babies. Now I have 3 nieces and 4 nephews. I love visiting them.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like doing small "science experiments" of sorts, making slime, growing sugar crystals. I also enjoy crafts,making cards for friends and family, cut and glue projects, color matching crafts. Drawing with sidewalk chalk is always fun, and if you need some super light landscaping done turning pinecone collection into a game is my specialty. My last kids loved the laundry game. I really just love keeping the kids brains active and learning. Trying to get them helping with cleaning and even cooking, doing what they can at their age level. Teaching them how to work together and solve problems both emotional and physical in ways that are safe, healthy, and effective.

Helping teach a new generation of humans how to be decent. After customer service work I have learned most people are really mean and lack an understanding of how people should treat people. Guiding little minds in the kind direction and teaching them to also learn and respect boundaries.

My favorite nanny moment has to be when I went to Ohio to visit some family and the kids picked me up when I got back. My mom was to originally pick me up but the kids had a different plan. They canceled her and got their mom to help. They had made signs and had a balloon. They were so excited. I loved it.
