My name is Kelsey WIlliams. I am from Boston, MA. I have been working with children since I was 15 years old. I have a bachelors degree in recreational therapy. I have tons of experience working with newborns to early childhood. I am currently working for Boston public schools with specials needs student. My career has grown over the last years within the school setting I haven’t been in Applied Behavior Analysis for the last 4 years. I love learning and teaching and truly believe we should pass that on to these wonderful children.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a paraprofessional for the last four years, prior I was running special needs camps and daily social groups.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love art, music, dance. These are great things to do with kids and a great way for them to express themselves. I am big on taking kids out into nature and seeing the different wild life an plants that create this beautiful earth. I like social play opportunities and doing there favorite activities in the house. All these activities are good ways to also incorporate skills needed for the future school transition.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being someone the kids are comfortable with and trust, I think forming a great relationship is the strongest thing a nanny can do alongside the safety of the kids. Safety should always be the first thing on your mind when indoors and especially outdoors, as long as we are safe then we can have fun and enjoy our activities.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked within special needs field for 6+ years, I have done nannying, special programs such as social groups and adaptive sports, and also worked in a school setting doing Applied Behavior Analysis and lastly home services.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment would be when one of my kiddos took the opportunity to take a fun interactive activity and learn new things from it, my goal is to have fun but to provide something new and knowledgeable and without me even given that knowledge my kiddo did it himself and that to me shows you can make everything fun but also a learning opportunity.
