Throughout high school & my first 2 years of college, I volunteered to mentor 4th & 5th graders for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America. My late husband & I didn't have children together, but I helped raise his little sister, Maeve 18, his daughter, Raven 18, & my God daughter, Kyla 16. I was quite busy during my college years attending school full time, working full time & helping dress, feed, & drop off /pick up the girls from daycare. I was the neighborhood babysitter & was well liked & sought out because all the kids loved me & I always kept a clean house. I figured being a parent, working & raising kids took lots of time & energy so if I could assist by doing basic chores, then I'd gladly pitch in. Besides, my mama always taught me to leave things better than I found them. Since it's summer time, I'd love to take the kids hiking, playground, swimming, library, put golfing, roller skating, the movies, etc. I think keeping children active is the best route. Parents love to come home to a clean house & kids that are fed, washed up & all tuckered out, ready for bed. Whatever the issue or task, I can handle it; guaranteed.
