The most important part about being a nanny...
To meet the most important part about being a nanny is the relationship and trust built between the nanny and the child. Being a trustworthy care giver for the child while their parents are at work or away is very important, they child needs to know that you will play with them and love them but also be their when they are sad or hurt or feeling any big emotions, they need to know that you will help guide them through those emotions with patience and empathy. They also need boundaries and someone to enforce those in a delicate manner, children realy need boundaries for their safety and development.

I was babysitting one time for a child that I have worked with at the preschool I currently work at. The sweetest thing was when I walked in the door he instantly screamed my name and ran over to hug me, it just melted my heart that little boy was so sweet.
