More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Over the past 5 years, I have built a diverse background in childcare by working as a private babysitter and an assistant teacher at two local daycares. Throughout this time, I have successfully cared for all age groups, from infants through school aged children, as well as children with special needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When it comes to daily activities, I love keeping children active, creative, and engaged! My absolute favorites are hands-on arts and crafts projects and kid friendly baking sessions where children can express themselves and learn new skills. Because I believe in truly playing with kids rather than just watching them, you'll always find me right in the middle of the action whether we are building blanket forts, playing imaginative games, or diving into sensory activities specially adapted for children of all abilities and age groups.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a safe, trusting bond through active presence. To me, being a nanny means so much more than just supervising children or keeping them on a schedule it means getting down on the floor, entering their world, and truly playing with them. When children feel actively seen, heard, and engaged by a caregiver who is genuinely excited to be there, they develop the confidence to explore, create, and grow
My experience with special needs children...
Over my five years in childcare, I have had the privilege of working closely with children with special needs in both daycare and private family settings. Because I am a truly hands-on provider, I focus on modifying activities so that every child can fully participate and feel included. I love finding creative ways to adapt baking, arts and crafts, and active play to meet different sensory or physical requirements. My background has taught me the importance of deep patience, clear communication, and how to create a calm, structured environment where every child feels safe, understood, and genuinely engaged
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory comes from working with a non-verbal child who frequently experienced sensory overload. He usually preferred to play completely alone, but I was determined to find a way to interact with him rather than just supervise. I set up a massive, colorful shaving cream and water sensory bin on the floor and just started playing in it myself. Slowly, he crept over, looked at me, and mirrored what I was doing. We ended up laughing and splashing together for an hour. It was a beautiful breakthrough moment that taught me just how powerful patient, hands on connection really is.
