Hi, my name is Kensi and I am recent nursing school graduate. I will be starting a masters program in 2019 to become a certified trauma and PTSD pediatric counselor. I have experience with babysitting and have a passion for kiddos. I have a love for children with special needs and have experience with children with all different types needs. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Pediatric rotation during nursing school, babysat an infant and his two older siblings during the afternoons for a semester while in my undergrad, babysat for several families from my church during high school, I was the children's minister intern the summer of 2014, and during high school I was a PAL (I tutored several children and helped with the special needs programs).

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with special needs since 2012. I started when I was volunteering at a hippotherapy center and there I would work with all ranges and types of needs and/or disabilities. I worked closely with the special needs program in my high school. More recently, I did a pediatric rotation in nursing school that allowed us to work with and care for children with severe special needs and/or disabilities. All of this being said, every child and family is different and I want to make sure than any child I care for is safe and comfortable.
