Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In the past i’ve babysat for many families. I babysat for a mom of twins boys from 3 years old to 4 years old for a span of a year. I followed their schedule & feeding routines. I would take them to the zoo, museums or the park, as long as their mom was okay with it. The reason I was let go was because they moved & mom became a stay at home mom. I still have contact with them to this day & still go visit from time to time because I always miss them! I also have babysat for a mom of a 8 year old girl & 3 year old boy which didn’t have a routine , but I still enjoyed to create one for my own preference & as long as mom was okay with it! I was let go because it was a season job for the summer. I still have contact with these babies & the mom too!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
• Infants
I love to do sensory time/tummy time. I put water in a bag with charms (nothing sharp) or frozen veggies (I will provide) for the baby to play with & grow strength in arms , neck & back muscles.
•Toddlers
I create a booklet of different activities. Matching the colors , Adding how many apples to the tree that I tell them , number matching , or simpling coloring sheets. I don’t do painting for this age group just because come kids can get a little paint crazy!
•Ages 6+ ( only if parents allow these)
I bring out the paint for pumpkin painting (around Halloween) or finger painting is always a hit! I like to bring out playdough to create dough animals or fruits & veggies. I also love to spell their name in glue & let them put Cheerios over the glue to spell their name!
