More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes over 4 years as a full-time nanny for children ranging from infancy to early elementary age. In these roles, I provided daily care, supported developmental milestones, planned engaging, age-appropriate activities, and maintained consistent routines. Before that, I worked as a 4th grade teacher in a Title I school, where I gained classroom management skills and a strong foundation in child development and learning strategies. I’ve also completed training in trauma-informed care, behavior support, and early literacy. My experience has given me the tools to foster nurturing, safe, and enriching environments for every child I care for.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning activities that support learning, creativity, and connection. Some of my favorites include sensory play, storytime, nature walks, arts and crafts, music and movement, and Montessori-inspired activities that encourage independence and exploration. I also enjoy helping little ones reach developmental milestones through tummy time, guided play, and simple games. For older children, I like incorporating educational games, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures. My goal is always to create joyful, screen-free experiences that are both fun and meaningful.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported, and I believe it’s my role to provide that stability while nurturing their growth and curiosity. Being a nanny means showing up with patience, consistency, and genuine care every day. It’s not just about routines and activities (though those are importantly), it’s about being a positive, loving presence in a child’s life and helping them feel confident, capable, and valued.
My experience with special needs children...
have experience supporting children with a range of special needs, including developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and behavioral differences. During my time as a 4th grade teacher in a Title I school, I worked closely with students who had IEPs and 504 plans, adapting lessons and routines to meet their individual needs. I’ve also cared for children one-on-one who required extra patience, structure, and sensory-sensitive environments. I approach each child with empathy, consistency, and a willingness to learn from parents and therapists to provide the best possible care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when the toddler I cared for took her first steps while we were playing outside. We had been working on balance and confidence for weeks, and seeing her take those steps with such pride, and immediately turn to me with a huge smile, was unforgettable. Moments like that remind me how special it is to be part of a child’s growth and to celebrate their milestones, big and small, as someone they trust and feel safe with.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Raleigh, NC: Kaehla P.
As a student at Shaw University majoring in social work, I am deeply passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their lives. I have two years of babysitting experience and two years of experience in a children's retail store, which have further fueled my love for nurturing young minds.
Creativity is one of my strong suits, and I enjoy finding fun and engaging activities for kids. In addition to my experience with children, I am also dedicated to self-care and enjoy doing hair, which can be a fun bonus for kids who like to play with different styles.
I also consider myself an up-and-coming house chef, always on the lookout for new recipes and ways to make meals enjoyable for everyone. My combination of experience, creativity, and passion for both children and caregiving makes me a strong candidate for a nanny position.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Raleigh, NC: May C.
Hi, I'm May (pronounced "my"), and I'm currently seeking a part time nannying position. I have experience working with kids of all ages through my job as an art teacher at a local Boys and Girls Club. I was also a part time, sometimes full time nanny for a family in Raleigh for a little over a year. During that time I took care of two girls ages 3 and 6. I picked them up from school, made their dinners, did light house keeping and did their whole night time routines including bath and bed time. I work mainly as a photographer in the area but I have time this upcoming season to take on other jobs, and I just love nannying. I look forward to hearing about your kids!

I am CPR and first aid certified, have a clean background check, fully vaccinated, have a clean driving record, and my own car. Please reach out if I sound like a good fit for your family’s needs :)
