A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Khali — a compassionate, adventure-ready Nanny and Family Assistant with 12+ years of experience caring for children from infancy through teenage years. I bring a rare blend of professional childcare expertise, global perspective, and holistic education.
I'm Montessori-trained, a certified RYT-500 Yoga Teacher with 4+ years teaching kids yoga and mindfulness, and CPR/First Aid certified. Worked with high-profile families in NY and SF, co-founded orphanage schools in Uganda, designed youth curricula across Africa, and created my own children's martial arts and yogic camp in Ecuador.
I seamlessly blend attentive, nurturing childcare with organized household management — meal planning, scheduling, travel prep, and everything in between. I'm health-conscious, punctual, tidy, and deeply reliable. I'm show up fully — with warmth, creativity, and a grounded presence that children genuinely connect with. Available for full-time, live-in arrangements and open to relocating immediately.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Live in Nanny, 6+ years Full time Nanny, Nanny Share, Child Educator, School Teacher, Children’s Yoga Teacher, Co-founder & Director of Orphanage Schools

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Age-appropriate multi-sensory exploration: crafting, building, investigating with textures, weight, colors, sounds, smells, tastes, etc. found inside and outdoors. World-building with character costume & role play, stage set up, a story plot, etc. Outdoor adventures on sand, grass, trees, near animals, in water under full supervision.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is help a child feel completely safe — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. That sense of safety doesn't happen by accident. It's built through consistency, through following through on your word, through getting down to their level and truly listening, through a calm and grounded presence even when the day gets messy. But equally important to me is the trust of the parents. Leaving your child in someone else's care is one of the most vulnerable acts of love a parent can make, and I never take that lightly. My commitment is to communicate openly, show up with integrity, and care for your children the way I would want my own cared for — with warmth, attentiveness, and deep respect for your family's values, rhythms, and vision. When both the child and the parents feel genuinely safe and seen, that's when the magic happens. That's when I know I'm doing my job well.

My experience with special needs children...

I have meaningful experience supporting children with a range of special needs. I have taught yoga and mindfulness to children on the autism spectrum, using movement, breathwork, and sensory-aware sequencing to help them regulate, focus, and feel safe in their bodies. I have also provided dedicated nanny care for a child managing severe food allergies — maintaining strict safety protocols, vigilant meal preparation, and calm emergency readiness at all times. Additionally, I have supported children navigating anxiety, creating predictable routines, emotionally attuned environments, and gentle coping strategies drawn from my background in Vedic counseling, mindfulness, and somatic movement. My holistic toolkit — rooted in yoga, breathwork, Montessori principles, and social-emotional learning — allows me to meet each child exactly where they are, adapting fluidly to their unique needs while keeping joy, safety, and connection at the center of everything I do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Difficult to single one moment out, there is so much I love about this work! Mainly it is witnessing the purity, the innocence, the wonder, and joy in the eyes and spirits of little ones. I love being immersed in a world of curious consciousness, where everything can become a mission, a game, a learning, an adventure.
