I’ve worked with children nearly my whole life and I also have my own little bundle of joy(infant). I’ve worked in many places, but the one that always seemed to be natural to me was caretaking for children. Although they can be a hassle, they are the highlight of my ENTIRE day. My experience with special needs children...

Patience & a little extra attention can go along way. But the feeling of knowing that you can be and do the same things as the ones around you plus more is reassuring. Taking my time to get to know the ins and outs of a special needs child is most important. My experience with a special needs child, started when I learned his temper at clean up time. He wouldn’t clean up after himself, until I made cleaning look fun to him. He loved basketball, so I turned cleaning into a basketball game.
