I love engaging children in creative, active, and imaginative play. Some of my favorite activities include painting, coloring, sidewalk chalk, bicycle riding, pretend play, singing, dancing, reading, blowing bubbles, playing with Play-Doh, and creating in mud kitchens. I also enjoy board games, bracelet making, arts and crafts, and other hands-on activities that encourage learning, creativity, and confidence. I believe children learn best when they’re having fun, so I strive to create experiences that are both engaging and age-appropriate while supporting their individual interests and development.

My experience with special needs children...
As a toddler teacher, I had the privilege of working closely with children of all abilities, including autistic children and children with diverse developmental needs. This experience taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and meeting each child where they are. I worked alongside families and specialists, including speech-language pathologists and physical therapists, to help support each child’s individual goals and development. I learned how to adapt communication styles, follow personalized routines, encourage independence, and create an environment where every child felt safe, understood, and valued.

I’ll never forget being told, “I can’t wait for you to come back tomorrow!” after spending the day reading stories, building forts, and playing outside.
