Ive worked at two different elementary schools as a para educator. One school was in California where I worked in a general education classroom with a child who needed one on one help. I also worked at an elementary school in Seattle, WA as a paraeducator in a self-contained special education classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting outside and exploring nature and doing fun outings. I also enjoy helping them learn and grow and use their imaginations. Legos, arts and crafts, puzzles, and reading are all fun indoor activities I love to do with the children I work with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being patient, getting down on the child's level to comfort them and talk them calmly through a problem. Learning to understand them where they are and helping them grow and learn.

One child with autism, FTT (failure to thrive, and ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I finished my last nanny job in Seattle this September of 2022. The last week we made a list of all the fun activities we wanted to do together. Zoo, beach, jump house, arts and craft day etc. On my last day we threw a party and the kids made me the sweetest framed picture of us and each wrote a letter for me. It was one of the sweetest moments that brought me to tears because they had become family to me.
