More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am currently a daycare teacher at Kiddie Academy, and I work with the 3-4 year olds; sometimes 1-2 year olds as well! At my prior daycare I was the afterschool teacher (6-12 age group). While I was a senior in high school, I took a teaching class and we went to elementary and middle schools to help the teachers out! There, I worked with many children of different ages, and learned so much about them! I have been babysitting since I was about 15, I have 4 younger brothers haha! Even though that part of my babysitting experience isn’t legally documented, I’ve learned so much about taking care of children and what they need throughout the day.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging with children through a variety of fun and interactive activities, with arts and crafts being my top favorite. It allows us to explore creativity and create unique, personalized projects together. Storytelling is another favorite of mine, as it sparks their imaginations and creates magical experiences through captivating tales. I also enjoy hosting lively dance parties, where we can let loose, enjoy music, and have a blast. Outdoor play is another highlight, giving kids the chance to explore, get active, and enjoy the fresh air. Simple games like hide and seek and building with blocks are also a hit, offering both entertainment and opportunities for developing skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong bond with your child. I believe that creating a trusting and comfortable relationship is crucial for their well-being. When a child feels secure and valued, they are more open to learning and growing. My goal is to make a positive impact on your child's life by being a supportive and nurturing presence!
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had the opportunity to work with special needs children before.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment while working in child care has to be the dance parties! At my daycare, we always try to get the children to let their sillies out, and having a dance party is the easiest way to do it when we can’t go outside due to bad weather. I feel like it gets them super excited and allows them to open up with their teachers and classmates; no one that’s shy likes to dance their heart out around people they don’t know! They always love the dance parties and have so much fun. Just seeing their big smiles and hearing their giggles and laughs makes my heart so warm. I love it!!!!
